New Hope in a Pandemic!

Sheela at 6 Years Old

Sheela came to Love and Care Children’s home as a 5-month-old baby. Her story is devastating yet full of hope. Sheela’s mother passed away due to an asthma attack. Her father, Hari Murugesan is a blind man. He sold matchboxes at a bus stand and didn’t have a regular sustainable income. He was unable to take care of the child so he brought her to our home. Since that day, her father has not come to visit her.

All she knows is the Family God gave her through Dr. John J. Y. Arul and our church family. She accepted Christ as her savior through Sunday school at a very young age. While growing up in the Love and Care home, she has been a kind and loving person to everyone around her. She helped anyone she can help by serving with all her heart. She excelled in her education and got good grades all throughout high school. She desires to study nursing to help care for the sick.

Sheela now looks to the future with hope. By God’s grace, Sheela got admission to a nursing school with a full scholarship for tuition. She still needs help with paying for accommodations and meals which will be $100 a month. Will you considerer giving $100 a month to support Sheela achieve the dream?

2 partners committing to give $50 a month could change this young woman’s life and help sow the seeds that will provide fruits for years to come.

Your gift of any amount will be a great help.
